Mission Mexico
Ambassador Christopher Landau was born into a Foreign Service family and has a lifetime of experience in the field of international affairs. During his time in Mexico, Ambassador Landau managed migration cooperation and response to Covid-19 while dealing with China’s growing influence and combating cartels. In this Roundtable, Ambassador Landau discussed his approaches to these crises, how he built on the U.S.-Mexico relationship, and how the Foreign Service has changed since his father, George Landau, served as Ambassador three times in the 1970s and 1980s.
